நமது கல்லூரியில் பொதுத்தமிழ் பாடம் தமிழ்த்துறை பேராசிரியர்களால் 2001 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் செம்மையாக கற்பிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. மாணவர்களுக்கு தமிழரின் வாழ்வியல் நெறிமுறைகள், பழக்கவழக்கங்கள், நாகரிகம், பண்பாடு ஆகியவற்றை எடுத்துரைக்கிறது. கிராமப்புறங்ககளில் இருந்து வரும் மாணவர்களுக்கு சிறந்த முறையில் கற்பித்து அவர்களை ஆக்கம் பெற செய்து மகிழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறது. இத்துறையில் முழுத்தகுதியும் அனுபவமும் வாய்ந்த பேராசிரியர்கள் தோழமையுடன் மாணவ செல்வங்களுக்கு கற்பித்து வருகின்றனர்.
The Department of English commenced from 2001 onwards The focus of the department is to inculcate the language and literature to the student’s community and the syllabus focuses on training students in language skills, Communication Skills. The department has several initiatives to promote Communication Skills and Personality Development of the students. Students from diverse educational backgrounds become an independent learner by engaging themselves in attending Seminars, Conferences, etc., The department takes all the efforts to provide a firm foundation in English for students. To conducts several events through the English Literary Club and Communication club.
The department has well-established and well-equipped laboratory for undergraduate and Allied courses. Our teaching and learning process involves classroom lectures, laboratory demonstrations, workshops, seminars, personality development and guest lecture from experts. We encourage the students to attend the summer internships and placements.
The Department of Chemistry was established in the year 2001 with UG degree to render services to the students community of this rural area to meet the growing, young and aspiring women to achieve their goal. The department is the holistic development of the students and involve them in curricular and co-curricular activities to provides a pleasant learning atmosphere with spacious and well-furnished classrooms.
The Department aims at providing quality education in Computer Science through the graduate programme. Highly qualified professors with recent teaching techniques define our department. It also enables them to occupy a place of prominence in IT industries globally. The programme is also supported by a computer laboratory with the latest hardware configurations.
The department enhances practical knowledge to the students by conducting various extension activities of experts and professionals from different organization. Apart from regular classroom teaching, the department molds the students by arranging internship training at various reputed institutions and companies to make them more adaptable to the industrial world. The department has well- qualified competent faculty who are dedicated to the academic and overall development of the student community.

‘Health is Wealth’ is a Proverb. So every one should keep his / her body hale and healthy. That is why physical Education is included in the curriculum.
Participation in inter collegiate competitions is actively encouraged and the participating students are given training by staff coordinators who give them constant encouragement and input which helps them win laurels for the college.
Students are given opportunities to participate in National Seminars as well as International Conferences. The College professors encourage interdisciplinary research which also gives students from all the departments the opportunity to work together and expand their knowledge which is not part of their course work.
A sense of social responsibility is maintained in students by conducting awareness programmes such as marathons, rallies etc., on a regular basis.
National Service Scheme
Our University has provided one unity of NSS to our college NSS is functioning in the college with 50 students with coordinator organising the NSS Activities. The aim of the scheme is to inculcate the qualities like leadership. Cooperation, adjustability, discipline, teamspirit, a sense of of responsibility and service mindedness. The scheme includes traffic, regulation, helping the public cleaning the surrounding, rural service, adult education etc.,
Culturals
Culturals activities are given in our college. A group of faculty members guide, help and conduct activities such as music, dance, drama etc., Inter Departmental Literate programme is also conducted every year. Activities of this kind provide an opportunity to the students to mould their personality.
Red Ribbon Club
The Red Ribbon Club of our college undertakes projects like blood donation camps. Visit to orphanages and old age homes. Thus the RRC fulfils its motto of ‘Service to Humanity is service to God”
Red Cross Society
Our college has a unit of youth Red Cross society affiliated to Indian Red Cross Society and the member ship is open to all students. The activities are taken care of by a member of the staff.
Club Activities
Due to enrich students talents, intelligence and creativity, various clubs should be maintained. Every student should be in atleast one club.
